Spirit Monday

I have to wake him before the sun, before the birds. It is not fair to do this to a teenager.
He stirs and groans a bit, but I distract him with some ninjas. 
I set out his clothes and go downstairs to make him breakfast. The ninjas come with me, it is the only bait I have and he will reliably follow. But today he takes longer that usual, so I go to investigate. 
He is not wearing the clothes I have chosen, but has dug out his green button down "Easter shirt". He has it tucked into his high-water sweat pants and he looks a bit ridiculous. 
He tells me today is "Spirit Monday" and he is proud.
My heart swells with love for him.
